The Loudest Voice a series about the creation of Fox News and the dishonesty, greed and hostility behind it
“The Loudest Voice” is a HBO drama series that tells the story of Roger Ailes (Rusell Crowe) who built an empire in the media industry in the US, known as Fox News, based on dishonesty, greed and hostility.
The show is about the journey of Fox News from the bottom into the mainstream recognition, where they became the competitors for more legitimate stations such as CNN or MSNBC.
Ailes was supported by Rupert Murdoch (Simon McBurney), who allowed Ailes run things his own way and destroy the journalistic ethics completely. Ironically, Fox News was born with the mission of fair and balanced news daily.
One of the other leading themes in the series is Ailes’ constant sexual predation. Once Gretchen Carlson (Naomi Watts) accused him of harassment, many other women reported similar encounters, what in the final effect forced him to resign.
The series is worth watching definitely for Rusell Crowe’s incredible performance. The actor, under layers of prosthetics with bald head and beady eyes authentically portrays the American television producer and his personality.
