“And just like that” – Sex and the City is back on the screen
And just like that iconic character Carrie Bradshaw is back to the screens.
Sex and the City sequel series had its premiere on HBO, and has delivered several standout fashion moments that reference beloved pieces from the original series (i.e. Bradshaw’s wedding shoes), as well as include new sought-after garments and accessories, such as bags from Gucci and Balenciaga’s Hacker Project. A real feast for fashion lovers eyes.
The series follows Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Charlotte York Goldenblatt (Kristin Davis) and Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon) as they continue with the next chapter of their lives, facing challenges in different areas – friendships, family and love.
The main characters navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to even more complicated reality in their 50s. The series is surprisingly honest about grief, starting over and with the real stakes of these characters getting older.
In the age of breaking down barriers and lead the way for a more tolerant generation, this series also tries to illustrate a new progressive society that honors and represents the storyline of BIPOC and LGBTQ+ characters.
Every new episode is full of stylish fresh looks, lots of humour and new characters with an wardrobe also to die for.
