The Apple TV+ Series where Jennifer Aniston gives her finest performence
After a very successful first season of “The Morning Show” with Jennifer Anniston and Reese Witherspoon, the 10-episode second season of the series had its global premiere on the 17 September on Apple TV+.
Season 1 received eight Emmy nominations with all the main actors recognised for their performance and with the win of Billy Crudup. At the beginning of 2020, Jennifer Aniston (the executive producer and the star of the show) won a Screen Actors Guild Award for the female Actors in the series. Therefore the production of the second season was inevitable. Unfortunately, the production was interrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic in March 2020, however the filming was resumed in October last year.
If the first season was about the morning television and the #MeToo movement, in the the second season Alex (Jennifer Aniston) and Bradley (Reese Witherspoon) are no longer morning television’s dream team, and the main subject is about the cancel culture and the beginning of the pandemic.
Season two also introduces some new characters and cast members such as Greta Lee, Julianna Margulies, Ruairi O’Connor, Hasan Minhaj or Holland Taylor, which will definitely add more spice to the series.
The Morning Show certainly features one of Aniston’s finest performances. For those who don’t know her much outside of Rachel Green, this will be a revelation.
