This wedding was out of the box, and we love it!

#gioandoscar take over the Instagram, last weekend with the beyond epic wedding of Giovanna Battaglia and Swedish realtor Oscar Englebert.

Giovanna, one of the chicest women from fashion world, it was only to be expected that her wardrobe over the course of her multi-day wedding in Capri, Italy last week would involve multiple ensembles, each more gorgeous than the next. So for the lavish ceremony at the Punta Carena Lighthouse, were they tied the knot, with lots of confetti and a stunning sea view, Giovanna wore a deliciously extravagant, endless train-bedecked Alexander McQueen wedding dress. At the wedding reception the bride chose a cool and stylish Giambattista Valli dress and lacy Manolo Blahnik thigh-high boots. At her rehearsal dinner, the Battaglia donned a custom, delicately feathered Azzedine Alaia dress which she styled with crystal-embellished Aquazzura heels. And the last but not the least Giovanna chose for the night after her wedding aboard the ultimate party  tanker an ornately embellished Prada dress.

It wasn’t just the bride’s wardrobe that resembled a “who’s who” of the fashion world, but her bridesmaids and guest list too. Natalie Massenet and Anna Dello Russo were among her five flower girls, while Sabine Getty, Lauren Santo Domingo, Hamish Bowles, Margherita Missoni, Beatrice Borromeo, Pierre Casiraghi, Lucilla Beccaria, Peter Dundas and Condé Nast’s chairman and chief executive of Condé Nast International, Jonathan Newhouse, were just a few of the well-known names in attendance. For one of the extravagant and glamours parties that seem a Hollywood movie, guests were dressed in neon-pink furs and insane head crowns, glitter, sequins, and boat shoes, and a lot of burlesque outfits and hula hoops. Clearly it was not a classic wedding, but we think it will be difficult that this year we would hear about another top celebration like #gioandoscar wedding, don´t you think? 😉
