The series is based on the real life “Baby Squillo” scandal that erupted within a wealthy Roman community in 2013. The series tells the story of two girls – Chiara (Benedetta Porcaroli) and Ludovica (Alice Pegani), who are wealthy prep school girls from a private school in Parioli – an exclusive neighbourhood in Rome. The main character – Chiara is dreaming about studying in America with her best friend Camilla (Chabeli Sastre Gonzalez). The life of the sixteen-year-old is changing, once she’s becoming friends with Ludovica, who introduces her to the sketchy world dominated by Saverio (Paolo Calabresi) and Fiore (Giuseppe Maggio). Chiara is adapting to the new world very quickly, skipping school and staying out late partying. The series is focusing on the underage teenage prostitution and as mentioned before, it’s based on the real life scandal. In 2013, two 14 and 15-year-old girls were found taking part in prostitution in order to earn money for designer clothes, drugs and gadgets. Both girls were meeting different men who were helping them to get the clients. The clients that were involved in the scandal included UN staff members, politicians, lawyers, businessmen and bankers.
