On the A/W 18 runways, designers, including Richard Quinn, Toga and Salvatore Ferragamo, took traditional scarf motifs and blew them up to create elaborate pieces, from asymmetric dresses and draped tops to accented jackets and maxi skirts. High-street brands such as Zara have also got in on the action with equally showstopping offerings at reasonable price points.

So forget summer’s minimalist mood for the moment, as the print trending right now is scarf print. Although scarf print may not seem like the most wearable print of them all thanks to its bold nature, and may be because is a print you expect to see splattered across your Nan’s signature silk scarf. Scarf print has had a stylish makeover for the new season ahead and is back in our lives with the ability to transform even the most simple of pieces and is guaranteed to make a statement no matter how you style it, so be brave this season and experiment with this season’s hottest print!
