“Valeria” is definitely one of the hottest Spanish drama-comedy on Netflix. This Spanish production was directed by María López Castaño and is based on the novels by Elísabet Benavent.

The series revolves around Valeria (Diana Gómez), a Madrid-based young woman in her late 20s, who is trying to pursue her career as a writer, which isn’t always the easiest. On the top of that, her relationship with her photographer husband Adrian (Ibrahim Al Shami) isn’t at its best and to support them both financially, Valeria decides to take a job at a museum.

After meeting the handsome Victor (Maxi Iglesias), Valeria not only feels inspired to finish her novel, but also finds herself in the middle of the love triangle between her husband and the new crush.

In the middle of this chaos, the main character is realising how unfulfilled she is by her marriage and career. Thankfully, she has a supporting group of friends next to her: crazy Lola (Silma López), calm Nerea (Teresa Riott) and nervous Carmen (Paula Malia).

The series is a perfect example of a woman who wants a deep connection with everything in her life. “Valeria” shows that life could be quite complicated in your late 20’s and 30’s with the career choices, family, money issues, relationship problems and the series successfully covers all of these issues in a real, funny and deep way.
