The Haute Couture Show Spring/Summer 2021 inspired by Virginia Woolf’s book

Fendi Spring Haute Couture 2021 by Kim Jones is finally here. The show was live streamed from Paris, the outfits were truly outstanding and most of them were made to be wear in the daily basis. With an extraordinary cast made up of models, actresses, and muses such as  Kate Moss with her daughter Lila Moss, Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington, Bella Hadid, Demi Moore or Cara Delavigne, the British designer delivered his first collection as artistic director of women’s collection at Fendi.

The inspiration for the collection was Virginia Woolf’s book “Orlando”. Asked about his choice, Jones said: “Fendi was founded in 1925. ‘Orlando’ was published in 1928. So they come from the same point in history, literally. And I thought it was quite interesting how they’re both still very modern and relevant”. All 19 looks are extremely chic and beautiful. We could also spot three men looks, which Jones made clear were only due to the gender-hopping that takes place in “Orlando”. In general, we are in love with this collection. Well done Kim Jones!
