“The Bold Type” follows the crazy life of the three young ladies, in their twenties Kat (Aisha Dee), Jane (Katie Stevens) and Sutton (Meghann Fahy), who always look out for each other in the genuine, honest way. The whole series is pretty “light” to watch and is full of “fashion moments”.

The three friends met while working in the women’s magazine “Scarlet”, and gives us a glimpse of what the battle to stay in business looks like.

The series was written by Sarah Watson and inspired by the life of Cosmopolitan editor Joanna Coles. Operating along the same lines as “Sex and the City” and even one of the latest series “Emily in Paris”. The show really prides itself on the vision of feminist principles and female solidarity, which we can spot on the “Scarlet’s” main features placing the woman in the centre and encouraging woman to be independent and strong.
