The best way to plan 2022

2021 is over! So now it’s time to reflect on the past year. Do you feel like you’ve achieved everything you’ve planned for 2021? Have you made a progress that you thought you would? Or maybe 2021 wasn’t really the best year of your life and you feel that you could do more? Whether this year was amazing or not, there is always some space for improvement and in this article we will share a few tips, that will help you make a 2022 a better year no matter what.

1. Set your top goals

Break down your goals into weekly, monthly, and quarterly goals. And remember that step by step is the only way to accomplish anything in life.

2. Build a better budget

This is one of the most important things probably and the one that most of us struggle the most: saving money. So if there is one of the New Year’s resolutions that will really make the biggest difference long term it will be building a better budget. While preparing your New Year’s Resolutions, take your time to calculate what percentage of your income you’ll be able to save on a monthly basis. This will give you a better idea of what you can save during the whole year and therefore plan other, bigger investments. If you feel you may struggle with it, there is lots of apps that can help plan it, such as Mint or You need a budget.

3. Do one thing at the time

Actually, it has the opposite effect, as it gives you more stress and anxiety. Mindfulness experts advise to organise your activities into chunks of time and remove any distractions, such as phone and other devices.

4. Keep an eye on your health

Open your calendar and plan all your doctor appointments across the year. We all tend to avoid doctors, especially if we feel like there is no need for one, but regular check ups are extremely important. As they say ‘prevention is better than cure’ and let’s stick to this advise and book all the check-ups as soon as possible and do them regularly, as our health is the most important asset we have.

5. Start a new hobby / join the club

Starting a new hobby is great, however joining the club will allow you to do both: focus on your hobby and meet new people in the process. You can use different sites such as  that will allow you to find people with similar interests. You can also join different online groups, this will allow you to connect with people from all around the world.

6. Read more books

Beginning of the year could feel a bit overwhelming and uneventful after the excitement of the festive season. Therefore it’s a perfect time to get cosy and start your reading challenge. To keep yourself accountable, you can join a book club or just team up with some friends in order to stay motivated. Try to plan the list of the books (or the amount) you wish to read in 2022 and keep reading 🙂

7. Plan your vacation ahead

If possible and safe, try to plan your vacation throughout the year. This will help you stay motivated and will take you through the difficult times, as you’ll have something to look forward to.
