“Firefly Lane” is one of the newest series that had its premiere a few weeks ago on Netflix. The series is an adaptation of the Kristin Hannah’s novel of the same name.

Created by Maggie Friedman, “Firefly Lane” is a story about two best friends Kate (Sarah Chalke) and Tully (Katherine Heigl), who has been supporting each other from the very early years, through the good and bad with unbreakable bond.

Two main characters – Kate and Tully meet when Tully ad her mother Cloud (Beau Garrett) move in next door to Kate and her seemingly peaceful, perfect family. Kate is the introverted, mousy one in the duo, although very warm and gentle. On the other hand, Tully is the magnetic cool girl with the bruised past and family issues. Despite being very different from each other, girls build an unshakeable bond that carries them through the college years, their first jobs, first loves, Kate’s journey through motherhood and Tully’s TV success.

Their 30 years of friendship is shown through the skipping timelines that drop in and out important events from each of their lives. Through various plot lines on dating, motherhood, marriage, romance and divorce, Kate and Tully are always there to support one another.

“Firefly Lane” is a perfect series for anyone who’s looking for something light, yet enjoyable. The incredible performance of Katherine Heigl, who’s the shining star of the series, and Sarah Chalke will make you want to watch the series until the very last episode.
